Dragon-Born(or Dovahkiin in Draconic) are a rare and incredibly powerful hybrid species, even more elusive than the Majin are. The reason for this is simply how a Dragon-Born is created. When a Wyvern takes on the form a human using magic and mates with a human, and provided the coupling produces a child, the resulting offspring is an incredibly powerful being that holds the undying soul of a dragon within a mortal body.
A Dragon-Born's draconic blood comes with a host of natural advantages that most humans need spells to match, including increased strength and resilience against magical and physical attacks. They also possess an ability that only other Dragon's can use...the Thu'um, or shouts.
For the most part, Dragon-Born have no distinguishing features that separate them from normal humans, aside from aging at a slower rate anyways. However, Dragon's are able to detect a Dragon-Born as kin simply by the scent of their blood...which, depending on the disposition of the Dragon in question, can be a big problem, because many dragon's will kill their half-blood kin on sight.
The reason for this hostility is linked to a trait that gives a Dragon-Born the potential to be a mortal foe to their own kin...when a Dragon-Born kills a Dragon, they absorb the Dragon's power and Mana, essentially stealing their "soul" and using it to grow stronger. This trait means that a Dragon-Born is one of the only creatures in existence that can truly end a Dragon's life, and more than one have tried to slaughter their own kind to become all powerful. However, most Dragon-Born are peaceful at heart, and many of them even devote their long, long lives to helping people and magical creatures with their great power.
Race-specific Characteristics: Thu'um (Dragon shout) is a unique magic of Dragons, ancient words of power that can summon flame, unleash blasts of pure power, or even rain down lightning upon an opponent. This magic requires no mana, drawing from a dragon's sheer might and force of will to cast. But as a result, using multiple Thu'um in rapid succession can be incredibly draining, even for a fully grown Wyvern, Dragon-Born can only use one Thu'um every 10 minutes (or, for gameplay purposes, after a two post cooldown in between castings.)
