Personal information and social status
Name: Kabuki
Theme: Kamen Rider Kabuki's Theme - From Kamen Rider Hibiki and the Seven Senki original soundtrack
Race: Oni
Age: 300 Years Old
Gender: Male
Appearance: Disguised / Real Form
Personality: Kabuki is a rather uncomplicated person, he likes music, loves good sake, and LOVES beautiful women. For most, this would make them a drunkard, or a lech, but thankfully for Kabuki, his species' naturally outgoing and friendly personality balances out his party boy tendencies. The result is what most who know him refer to as "A lovable Casanova wannabe." Kabuki sees himself as the creator's gift to women, and is never short on compliments or playfully flirty one liners to pull out at a moment's notice, something that can either make him adorable, or painfully irritating, depending on how one sees his actions. However, Kabuki isn't stupid either, and knows that there is a time and place for flirting, drinking or playing music...even if he'll never ADMIT that there's such a thing as a time to NOT be enjoying some Sake.
When Kabuki is around people he knows, he isn't very different, he still likes booze, and is rarely seen not eyeing a beautiful woman. However, when he is comfortable with someone, he tends to show his more thoughtful side, discussing his thoughts on things like the Lost Nation's separation from the rest of the world. Such as the nature of the kingdoms, and even a wish for the kingdoms system to be abolished, showing that despite his love to party, he does have a thoughtful side to him.

History: Kabuki is a relatively young Oni, having been born 'only' three centuries ago. Kabuki's father was a relatively well known warrior among his tribe, and his mother was a cousin of the Oni chieftain of his village...and Kabuki HATED being so closely related to him. While Oni are not ones to treat one's bloodline as something of extreme importance, the mere fact that Kabuki was related to three well regarded members of his tribe put a larger amount of pressure on him than most. He was constantly being looked at as a future leader, when his desires were far more down to earth. Kabuki wanted to wander, to see the world and experience all of it's splendors, something that was treated as "beneath him" by many of the tribesman he lived with.
Ironically enough, one of the people who most strongly supported him was the chieftain himself, who was a wandering warrior in his youth before returning to the village and ascending to the rank of chieftain, as well as his Father and Mother. Kabuki lived in the village for 50 years, training constantly in swordplay and musical arts, specifically the shinobue, a type of Japanese flute. But, upon reaching 50 years old and reaching adulthood, Kabuki was given a transformation trinket, something that all Oni achieve upon reaching maturity. Kabuki was now a man, and free to do as he wished. So, after a few weeks or preparation, Kabuki bade goodbye to his family and tribe, and left the safety of home to travel the world like he had always dreamed.
Kabuki swiftly learned that the world at large was a dangerous place, but filled with untapped potential and many decent people that he could help, not to mention plenty of places where he could enjoy a good party, better booze, and the company of beautiful women. So, Kabuki became a self proclaimed "Wandering Ronin", traveling up and down the many roads of Terra Mystica and rendering aid whenever it was needed. But in between his acts of charity, Kabuki was, or lack of a better word, a party animal. He would play music all hours of the night, drink taverns and bars out of business, and was often seen gallivanting around with a gaggle of women whilst loudly serenading them with song or tales of his exploits, many of them slightly exaggerated for 'dramatic effect'.
It was during one of these exuberant benders that he heard of a very wealthy noblewoman living in the farm country on the fringe of the fire kingdom, one who's lands were being besieged by bandits. So, as he had done for centuries before, Kabuki packed up, finished his bottles of sake, and trekked onward towards destiny, never knowing that he would help kick-start something historic...not bad for a wandering drunk with mild delusions of grandeur.
Combat potential
Weapons: Concealed sword: Kabuki carries a simple Katana that is hidden within his transformation trinket, it is light, but durable and razor sharp. The blade deals a light amount of damage with every strike that lands, but can attack twice per post.
Armor: Oni Hide: Kabuki's skin, like all Oni's, is more durable than a human's, about equal in terms of protection to light leather armor.
Enchanted weapons/accessories: Pillow Talk: Kabuki carries his flute, Pillow Talk, with him at all times. However, Pillow Talk is no mere woodwind instrument, It is carved from a special type of bamboo grown within the magically charged forest where Kabuki's village is located. The bamboo is incredibly strong, carrys a tune perfectly...and is very good at channeling mana of all types. Kabuki is capable of channeling his light mana through the flute, creating a sword blade made of pure light. The blade deals a high amount of damage per strike, and because it is mostly made of light, can easily be dual wielded with Kabuki's Katana.
Transformation Trinket: Kabuki always carries his transformation trinket with him, which looks like a tuning fork when unfolded. This relic allows him to take on a human appearance, or to revert to his true form. Kabuki also placed a sealing rune on this particular relic, allowing it to become a Katana when the rune is activated.
Weaknesses: Dense: While Kabuki is not by any means stupid, his easygoing lifestyle and general good natured behavior make him more than a little gullible. He is rather prone to being deceived, and is extremely vulnerable to manipulation if he's not paired with someone with a better ability to sniff out tricks. (note that this is not including magical manipulation, simply good old fashioned lies and trickery.)
Unsubtle: Kabuki is not good at sneaking...at all. Any attempt at stealth from him is doomed to fail, no matter how minute or simple.
Magical potential
Special/Racial Abilities: Connections: Kabuki is very good at diffusing tense situations, and can often form tight bonds with complete strangers with almost frightening ease. As such, he has many contacts or allies scattered about Terra Mystica that are more than happy to aid him and his friends if need be.
Diversionary: As one can no doubt tell, Kabuki is EXTREMELY good at making himself the center of attention...perfect for a distraction or lure. He may not be able to sneak, but he can definitely cause enough of a ruckus so those that can will have less heat to worry about whilst doing so.
Magical Affinity: Light
Spells Known (30/55sP):
Light Screen(5sP): Kabuki is capable of projecting a solid barrier of light mana from either his palm or his forearm, creating a sturdy rectangular shield that covers about the same area as a medium sized tower shield. This barrier can withstand several powerful physical strikes before shattering, but an offensive spell of equal or superior power will shatter it instantly. This spell can be maintained for as long as there is mana in the area, however, every 3 turns, 5 more sP is drained from the arena's mana pool to sustain it.
Torchlight(1sP): This spell is a basic light creation spell, allowing Kabuki and his allies to see in darkened areas in a 10 foot sphere around them.
Solar Shot(5sP): Kabuki can charge mana through his hands, collecting it and compressing it into a dense sphere of pure light energy. This energy, when fired, can blast a fist sized hole in an unarmored human's chest, or outright vaporize their head. This spell deals a large amount of damage, and a hit to the head is instantly fatal.
Sakura Beam(7sP): Despite the rather cutesy name given to it, this spell is incredibly dangerous. The Sakura Beam (A name given to it by Kabuki, due to the beam's peculiar pink coloration.) is a highly compact lance of light mana, capable of burning through even a fully armored knight's steel armor and passing through up to 5 more knight's behind them. Kabuki is only capable of firing this spell from the tips of his fingers, but more skilled mages are able to fire the beams from almost any extremity, even their eyes!
Arcane Healing(5sP): This spell can heal moderate injuries, poison, or illnesses, but cannot effect magical effects such as mind control, spell induced sleep, or other hexes and curses.
Photon Blade(7sP): This is the spell that allows Kabuki's flute to become a dangerous weapon. a focused stream of Light mana that can turn a simple flute, stick, or even a skilled mages arm into a lethal blade of light mana that can slash clean through a soldiers armor, or fire a large arcing wave of light mana that can bisect 5 men in a single stroke, and literally slice an enemy's spell in half, so long as it is of a lesser power level...or if it isn't darkness based.
The blade's delicate balance of light mana is incredibly hard to maintain, making it extremely vulnerable to dark magic, so much so that even a NOVICE level dark spell, either offensive or a ward, can cause the blade to fizzle out. It is also incapable of breaching armor that has been enhanced with mystical defenses, such as runes or an enchantment that provides magic protection. This spell has a steep cost, and it must draw more power every three posts to continue functioning.
