Ogres
There are three types of Ogre, Trolls, Oni, and Namahage. Trolls and Oni also have their own distinct variants, this post will focus on the reclusive and mischievous Namahage.
Namahage
Namahage are pranksters by nature, and take great joy in causing other races misfortune, unfortunately for their victims "Death by Exposure" is considered funny to a Namahage.
Namahage have always preferred their own kind to the company of other races, even different bands of Namahage can just barely tolerate each other, and infighting is exceptionally common. Namahage prowl the frigid lands of the ice kingdom, hiding in snowdrifts and frozen crevasses, waiting for an unfortunate traveler to stumble into their territory.
Any soul unfortunate enough to cross the path of a band of Namahage is lucky if they escape with broken bones and a stolen coin purse, as Namahage are infamous for switching or outright removing road signs to lead travelers astray, stalking them as they slowly and agonizingly die of exposure, they Namahage will then devour the unfortunate soul, leaving nothing but tattered rags and smashed bones with the marrow scraped out.
Even then, Namahage will sometimes not wait for a victim to expire before devouring them, some don't even bother tricking travelers, instead ambushing them and beating them to death with sticks, rocks, or their own fists.
