Nekos
Human beings with the characteristics like those of the animal that they take after. Nekos are the result of multiple cross breeding between anthromorphs and the base genetic species, the humans. They take more after their human half mentally, but physically, their athleticism and flexibility take after their anthromorphic predecessors, as such, they are both a sub type of anthro, and a new species in and of itself.
Their diet is more omnivorous, thanks to having a more humanoid physical build, but depending on what animal they take after they will have different preferences of what to eat.
Unlike anthromorphs, nekos have a more basic appearance as far as their animal traits go. Often times, they only have the ears and tail of their animal counterpart with one or two colors, the rest being human. However, should the neko have the features of a predator, they will commonly posses clawed hands, and maybe even fur on the forearms and forelegs of their body, or other parts of their body, giving many nekos an exotic appearance that many compliment.
Nekos also have a feral side to them, but it is far easier to control than with anthros and animals. Should they happen to go into this state, they are able to control their actions without much difficulty. If encountering a feral neko, you aren't in any immediate danger, just make sure you do not provoke them or have something to help sate their instinctive needs and you'll be fine.
