Anthros
Similar to the talking animals, anthros take on a more humanoid form. Anthromorphs are a recently discovered race of animals that have evolved to be able to walk among humans at their level, and not at their heels. They are capable of doing anything that a human can, whether it be cooking, to armed fighting. They haven't agreed on a special name for themselves yet, and the other races have been helping them for many years (basically, suggestions from other members is requested for a name).
Like their quadrupedal cousins, many anthros prefer meat, but this greatly depends on the animal species that they take after. They may very well eat only plants if from an herbivorous species.
In the past, humans and other non animalistic races believed anthros to be day-walking werecreatures. But this belief was soon eliminated when the anthro race showed their civil side to be dominant over their instincts. However, there are times when, like their cousins, they may go feral if provoked or if desperate for food. This state is hard to tame, and can only be stopped by satisfying the conditions that sparked it to begin (if starved, give them lots of food, if provoked, isolate them from others until they calm down).
Anthros are very exotic, not usually being the same in appearance to many others. Because of this fact, encountering one is often always a new experience for people. Just be sure to avoid them during mating season, as instincts take stronger hold of them during this time.
