Spell Class Level Chart
Spell Class | Spell Points (sP) | Description and requirements for classification |
Novice | 1sP | These spells are the weakest types of spells available, most commonly used for dispatching weaker enemies that attack in swarms. These spells expend a barely noticeable amount of mana in a given location, and are barely noticeable in the total pool of mana in the area, if not excessively used. |
Amateur | 3sP | Stronger than Novice level, these spells are capable of 1-on-1 combat with someone of humanoid size or larger groups of the smaller enemies that novice level spells are effective against. These spells expend a noticeable amount of mana in the area. It takes less spells than novice level of this class before the mana pool is noticeably diminished |
Advanced | 5sP | Stronger than Amateur level, these spells are powerful enough to fend off large creatures such as trolls or minotaurs, and are also effective against crowds of humanoid-sized opponents. This spell class expends a somewhat large amount of mana in a select location, and it takes far less spells cast before the mana pool is expended. |
Master | 7sP | The strongest known class of spells among people in Terra Mystica. These spells are powerful enough to fend off terrifying beasts such as dragons and leviathans. These spells are also powerful enough to dispose of larger creature groups such as trolls and minotaurs. This spell class expends a large amount of mana in a select location, and it doesn't take long with spells of this class level used repeatedly before the mana is used up. |
Monstrous | N/A | A class of spell not widely known by many in the world. These spells are so devastating that the power of a dragon pales in comparison to their might, and are frequently casted by said creatures, able to level entire towns with a single spell. A being of humanoid size may attempt to cast these spells and succeed, but the backlash of channeling so much mana through one's body, as well as the physical and mental strain would be too much for the body to handle. After casting, the user will either fall comatose, or even expire from casting it if proper safeguards aren't taken beforehand. Because of the devastation that these spells possess, they exhaust all mana within the select area. NPC or staff approval only! |
