Ogres
There are three types of Ogre, Trolls, Oni, and Namahage. Trolls and Oni also have their own distinct variants, this post will focus on the most common Troll variant; the Mountain Troll.
Mountain Troll
Mountain Trolls are probably what everyone thinks of when the word "Troll" is uttered in the land of Terra Mystica. Large, grey skinned behemoths with no hair, beady eyes, huge muscular limbs that it uses to hurl boulders and crush the life from anyone foolish enough to not run away from it. They are famous for their low intelligence and incredible hostility.
Mountain Trolls can grow to a height of 15 feet tall, and are easily capable of lifting 5 tons, this brutal strength enables them to hurl boulders like beach-balls, rip trees from the ground, and level a house by simply crushing it underfoot.
Mountain Trolls, despite their name, are capable of settling nearly anywhere, so long as there is adequate food and shelter. They do seem to show a preference for rocky crags and mountain passes however, most likely because it makes it easy to ambush trap prey, and the numerous crevices and small caves in these locations are good places to lay low while sleeping.
Mountain Trolls are incredibly dull witted, lacking the intellect to harness their mana and use it to create spells. This makes trolls relatively easy to distract, simply causing a landslide with a minor mana bolt spell is enough to distract the beast from continuing it's assault, giving the caster a few precious seconds to run.
Overall, Mountain Trolls are a creature best left alone, if one must pass through it's territory, keep quiet, stay alert, and if you even suspect that a Mountain troll has caught your sent, HIDE! Lest you be another pile of bones adorning it's lair.
